Overview
The Lookah Bear poses a simple question: what if your 510 battery was shaped like a bear? It sounds like a gimmick. And honestly, it kind of is. But it's also a solid little battery wrapped in squeezable silicone that feels more like a stress toy than vape gear.

Grip and durability
You press the nose to fire. The battery level shows through the ears. There's even a lanyard hole so you can wear it around your neck if that's your thing.
Under the cute exterior, the specs are respectable. 500mAh battery lasts all day, three voltage settings handle different cart types, and USB-C charging is a welcome upgrade from micro-USB. The Bear shows that a 510 battery can be functional and fun at the same time.
Design & Build Quality
Lookah went all in on the bear thing. Cartoon bear shape, pronounced nose that doubles as the fire button, rounded ears, friendly face. At 80mm tall and 42mm wide, it's chunkier than slim pen batteries but still fits in a pocket without issue.
The silicone body is the star here. Soft, squeezable, and way more pleasant to hold than cold metal. It also grips better so you're less likely to drop it, and if you do drop it, the silicone absorbs the impact instead of denting.
On the back, four LED segments show your battery level through translucent areas. Each segment equals about 25% charge. Way better than those single-LED batteries where you're constantly guessing if you're at 80% or about to die.
One ear has a lanyard hole. You can wear it around your neck, clip it to your bag, or attach it to your keys. Practical solution for a device that's easy to misplace.
Colors range from boring (black, gray) to fun (pink, cyan, rainbow) to wild (tie-dye patterns). Something for everyone.
Features
Three Voltage Settings
Double-click to cycle through three power levels:
| Setting | Voltage | LED Color | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low | 3.2V | Green | Flavor, live resin |
| Medium | 3.6V | Blue | Most carts |
| High | 3.9V | Purple | Thick distillates |
The 3.2V to 3.9V range covers most 510 carts. Low for terpy live resin where you want to taste everything, high for thick oils that need more heat to flow.
500mAh Battery
500mAh is solid for a novelty battery. Most people get a full day out of it. Heavy users might need an evening top-up.
USB-C charging (no cable included) fills it up in about 1.5 hours. You probably have a USB-C cable lying around already.
Four-Segment Battery Indicator
The rear display breaks down your charge into four segments:
- 4 segments: 75-100%
- 3 segments: 50-75%
- 2 segments: 25-50%
- 1 segment: 0-25%
Much better than squinting at a single LED and guessing.
Lanyard Attachment
The ear hole lets you:
- Wear it around your neck
- Clip it to your keychain
- Attach it to your bag
- Add a wrist strap
Small batteries get lost. This helps.
Safety Features
Standard protections:
- 10-second auto-cutoff
- Overcharge protection
- Overuse protection
- Short circuit protection
Nothing special here, but everything you'd expect.
Performance
The Bear does what it needs to do. Three voltage settings give you real options, not just marketing fluff.
At 3.2V, terpy carts taste cleaner. You actually get the flavor profile instead of burnt notes. 3.6V handles regular distillate carts well, and 3.9V puts out decent clouds from thick oils.
Pressing the nose to fire feels weird at first. You get used to it. The silicone gives a soft but definite click, and the 10-second auto-cutoff stops you from burning anything if you forget to let go.
Battery life is good. 500mAh gets you through a day of normal use, and the 4-segment indicator means no surprise deaths. Quick USB-C charges during the day can stretch it further if you need it.
The silicone stays comfortable through longer sessions. Metal batteries get cold, then too warm. This one just feels... neutral. And the grip means fewer drops.
Pros & Cons
What works: the design is actually fun, the silicone feels great in hand, and the 500mAh battery lasts all day. USB-C charging, clear battery indicator, and the lanyard hole all add real value.
What doesn't: it's bigger than slim pen batteries. The silicone picks up pocket lint (wipes off easy, but still). No preheat function for super thick oils. And they didn't include a USB-C cable, which feels cheap at this point.
Who Is This For?
People who want gear with personality. If every black vape pen looks the same to you, this is different.
Anyone who hates cold metal. The silicone just feels better.
All-day users. 500mAh gets you through without charging anxiety.
People who lose things. Lanyard hole. Use it.
Gift buyers. This thing is a conversation starter.
If you need maximum discretion or the slimmest possible profile, look elsewhere. The Bear isn't trying to hide.
The Bottom Line
The Lookah Bear proves a 510 battery doesn't have to be boring. Soft silicone, cute design, 500mAh that lasts all day. It works.
For $20, you get everything a generic battery offers plus actual personality. Three voltages cover most carts, USB-C is nice, and the lanyard hole solves the "where did I put that" problem.
