Troubleshooting

Q:Device won't turn on

A:Ensure the battery is charged using a USB-C cable. Press the power button (bear's nose) 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds. Check the rear battery indicator - if no lights show, the battery needs charging.

Q:No vapor production

A:Confirm the cartridge is fully screwed in. Try a higher voltage setting by double-clicking. Check that the cartridge has oil remaining. Test with a different cartridge to isolate the issue.

Q:Cartridge doesn't fit

A:The Bear uses standard 510 threading (0.7-5.0 ohm). Ensure you're using compatible 510-threaded cartridges, not pod-style cartridges or other connection types.

Q:Device fires on its own

A:The Bear has a 10-second auto-cutoff for safety. If firing seems to occur randomly, check that nothing is pressing the nose button. Remove the cartridge when carrying in pockets to prevent accidental activation.

Q:Battery indicator shows incorrect level

A:The four-segment display updates after charging completes. If readings seem off, fully charge and then discharge normally. Avoid extremely hot or cold conditions which can affect battery readings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the power button?

The power button is the bear's nose - the prominent button on the front of the device. Press it 5 times to power on/off, double-click to change voltage, and press-hold to fire.

How do I change the voltage?

Double-click the power button (nose) to cycle through three voltage settings. Green LED = 3.2V (low), Blue LED = 3.6V (medium), Purple LED = 3.9V (high).

How do I check the battery level?

The rear of the Bear has a four-segment LED indicator. Each segment represents 25% battery capacity. Four lit segments = 75-100% charge, one segment = 0-25% charge.

What is the lanyard hole for?

The hole in the bear's ear accepts lanyards, keychains, or wrist straps. This allows you to wear the Bear around your neck or attach it to bags to prevent loss.

Why isn't a USB-C cable included?

The Bear uses the standard USB-C port, assuming most users already have compatible cables from phones or other devices. Any standard USB-C cable will work for charging.
