Overview
The Lookah Unicorn 2.0 is the second-gen version of Lookah's flagship e-rig. The upgrades over the original are solid: better carb hole design, more coil options, and improved haptic and LED feedback.
Think of it as the budget alternative to a Puffco Peak Pro. You get similar performance for about half the price. The 1900mAh battery is one of the biggest you'll find in this category, and the two included coils let you pick between chasing flavor or clouds.

Design & Build Quality
The Unicorn 2.0 is a vertical cylinder that sits on your desk. At 190mm tall with a 63.5mm base, it's not going in your pocket. But the zinc-alloy build feels solid and well-made.
The magnetic connection system is really well done. The glass percolator snaps onto the base with magnets, so there's no threading or twisting. Assembly takes seconds, cleaning is easy, and you'll never deal with cross-threading.
The big upgrade in the 2.0 is the carb hole built into the magnetic ring. Cover it with your finger for a restricted draw and denser vapor. Release to clear the chamber. Simple concept, but it makes a real difference in how much control you have.
The glass percolator has twin vapor pathways that feed from the atomizer. Good filtration, smooth airflow. It's borosilicate glass, so it handles heat fine, but treat it like any glass piece.
Features
Dual Coil System
You get two coils in the box, and they actually feel different:
Quartz Hive Coil:
- Three heating elements spread across the core
- Heats up in 10-15 seconds
- Pumps out vapor, great for cloud chasers
- Works best with thicker concentrates
Quartz Cup Coil:
- Traditional dish-style surface
- Takes a bit longer to heat but heats more evenly
- Better flavor
- The move for terpy concentrates
Having both coils means you can match your hardware to what you're smoking instead of settling for one compromise.
Three Voltage Settings
Triple-click cycles through three modes:
| Setting | Voltage | LED Color | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low | 3.3V | Green | Best flavor, lighter vapor |
| Medium | 3.6V | Blue | Balanced |
| High | 4.2V | White | Max vapor |
The range covers most preferences. Low-temp terp chasers and high-temp cloud chasers both get what they want.
Haptic Feedback System
The Unicorn 2.0 vibrates to let you know what's happening:
- Preheat cycle done
- Heating cycle ready
- Auto-shutoff kicking in
You feel when your dab is ready instead of staring at the LED. Nice touch.
RGB LED Ring
The LED ring around the power button shows you what's going on:
- Green, blue, or white for voltage setting
- Breathing pattern while heating
- Solid when ready
- Flashing for errors or low battery
Looks cool and actually tells you useful info.
Performance
The Unicorn 2.0 punches above its price. The quartz hive coil hits dabbing temperature in 10-15 seconds. On high, vapor production rivals desktop rigs. Lower settings keep your terps intact.
The 1900mAh battery is the star here. Lookah says 90 minutes of use with the quartz core coil, and our testing backs that up. Most competitors have smaller batteries, so you won't get the same all-day reliability.
Water filtration through the twin-pathway percolator smooths out your hits. Higher voltage settings become more comfortable, and watching the vapor swirl through the glass is satisfying.
The carb hole surprised me. Having that airflow control changes how you can hit it. Cover the hole to build vapor, release to clear. Takes a few tries to get the timing down, but then it feels natural.
Flavor depends on which coil you use. The quartz cup keeps terp profiles clean and really shows off quality concentrates. The hive coil trades some of that nuance for vapor volume, though it still tastes good on low and medium.
Pros & Cons
The Unicorn 2.0 nails battery life, versatility, and the small details. That 1900mAh battery sets it apart, and the dual coils give you actual options instead of marketing talk. The magnetic carb hole adds airflow control you won't find on most e-rigs, even expensive ones.
The main downside is Micro-USB charging. In 2025, that's annoying. Charging takes longer than USB-C, and good luck finding a spare cable. The size is the other trade-off. This goes in a bag, not a pocket.
Who Is This For?
Budget-conscious enthusiasts: You want premium features without the premium price.
Heavy users: That 1900mAh battery handles long sessions without dying.
Home dabbers: It's a desktop-friendly design with solid filtration.
Technique-focused users: The carb hole gives you real airflow control.
Newcomers wanting quality: Easy to use, with room to grow into.
If you need something pocket-sized or USB-C is a dealbreaker, look at the Unicorn Mini instead.
The Bottom Line
The Lookah Unicorn 2.0 is a smart buy. The 1900mAh battery outlasts most competitors, two coils give you real versatility, and features like the magnetic carb hole and haptic feedback feel like extras you'd expect on pricier devices.
Compare it to the Puffco Peak Pro at nearly double the cost. The Unicorn 2.0 keeps up in most categories and beats it on battery. Sure, the Peak Pro has app connectivity and more features, but the actual dabbing experience from the Unicorn 2.0 gets the job done for way less money.
If you want a capable e-rig without spending $150+, the Unicorn 2.0 is one of the best options out there. See our best e-rigs guide for more recommendations.
