Overview
The Lookah Unicorn Mini strips the e-rig concept down to its essentials. At 6.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches at the base, it actually fits in a pocket. That's rare for concentrate hardware in a category full of bulky desktop units.
Small doesn't mean stripped down, though. You still get water filtration through a borosilicate glass bubbler, three voltage settings, and up to 100 heat cycles on the 950mAh battery. If standard e-rigs felt too bulky to travel with, this one's built for you.

Design & Build Quality
Everything about the Unicorn Mini serves portability. The zinc-alloy body handles daily wear while staying slim at 40mm wide. Fits in your hand, fits in your pocket.
Lookah kept the borosilicate glass bubbler instead of switching to plastic. Smart choice. Vapor quality stays high and you get that satisfying view of water percolating. The trade-off? You'll want to handle it carefully when traveling. A silicone mouthpiece cover helps protect the glass.
One button controls everything: power, voltage selection, and preheat. Even if you've never used a concentrate device, you'll figure it out fast. LED colors tell you what's happening.
The result feels like a proper e-rig that just happens to be small. Not a stripped-down compromise.
Features
Three Voltage Settings
Double-click to cycle through three power levels:
| Setting | Voltage | LED Color | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low | 3.5V | Green | Maximum flavor, gentle vapor |
| Medium | 3.7V | Blue | Balanced performance |
| High | 3.9V | White | Maximum vapor production |
The voltage range is narrower than larger Lookah e-rigs since the coil is smaller. Still, you get enough spread to dial in different concentrates and personal preferences.
8-Second Preheat Function
Preheat gently warms your concentrates before full heating kicks in. Especially useful here since the coil surface area is smaller. Thicker concentrates melt evenly instead of getting hit with sudden high heat.
Press and hold the button briefly to activate. The coil warms at reduced power, getting your material ready for smoother hits.
710 Quartz Dish Coils
The Unicorn Mini uses Type A 710 quartz dish coils sized for its compact body. Quartz means clean flavor without metallic or ceramic notes. The dish design handles different concentrate consistencies well.
You get two coils: one pre-installed, one spare. That's decent runway before you need replacements.
Safety System
Small device, full safety features:
- Low Battery Warning: Red LED flashes 5 times with vibration
- High Temperature Protection: Purple LED flashes 5 times with vibration
- Short Circuit Protection: Yellow LED flashes 8 times with vibration
- Open Circuit Protection: Yellow LED flashes 5 times with vibration
- Auto-Shutoff: Powers down after 5 minutes of inactivity
Each issue gets its own LED color, so you know exactly what's happening.
Performance
The quartz dish coils heat fast, hitting dabbing temperature in 10-12 seconds. On the high setting, vapor production holds up even if you're used to bigger devices. The smaller chamber means shorter individual draws, but that's the trade-off for portability.
Sessions feel different than with larger e-rigs. You're not taking extended pulls from a substantial chamber. Instead, it's quicker, more efficient hits. That actually fits how you'd use a portable device anyway. Quick dabs on the go, not hour-long sessions.
Flavor punches above the price point. Quartz coils plus borosilicate glass deliver clean, accurate taste that lets your concentrate quality shine through. Lower voltage settings preserve terpy profiles well.
Battery life surprised us. The 950mAh capacity gets up to 100 heat cycles, which translates to days of moderate use between charges. USB-C charging takes 60-90 minutes, and you probably already have compatible cables around.
The water filtration is smaller scale than full-size bubblers, but it works. Hits come in smooth and cool. Higher voltage settings feel manageable instead of harsh.
Pros & Cons
Where the Unicorn Mini wins: real e-rig features in a pocket-sized body. Water filtration, voltage control, quality materials, and it's under $50. Battery life is solid and USB-C charging keeps things simple.
The downsides are about capacity, not quality. Smaller chamber means smaller draws. The narrower voltage range limits how much you can customize. If you want maximum vapor clouds, this compact size will feel limiting.
Who Is This For?
Travel dabbers: An e-rig that actually fits in a bag pocket. Finally.
E-rig newcomers: Easy operation and affordable pricing make it a low-risk entry point.
Minimalists: Full features without bulk or complexity.
Backup device owners: A solid secondary unit when your main rig isn't practical to bring.
Budget-conscious beginners: Good features at entry-level pricing.
If you want maximum vapor production or long sessions, check out larger e-rigs like the Unicorn 2.0 instead.
The Bottom Line
The Unicorn Mini makes e-rig functionality portable without cutting corners where it counts. Water filtration, voltage control, quality materials. Pocket size, pocket price.
At under $50, it's strong value for concentrate users who need something travel-ready. Won't replace your desktop rig for home sessions, but it fills that gap when lugging around larger hardware isn't realistic.
Beginners get a solid intro to e-rigs without major investment. Experienced users get a capable travel backup. Either way, the Unicorn Mini delivers more than its size and price suggest. For more options, see our best e-rigs guide.
