Overview
Lookah basically invented the electric nectar collector category. The Seahorse Pro Plus is where all that experience landed. They took the original Seahorse Pro, fixed what people complained about, and added useful features.
At 5.2 inches tall and 1.3 inches wide, it fits in your pocket. Use it as a nectar collector with the quartz tip. Pop that off and it's a 510 cartridge battery. Connect the included hose and adapter to run it through a water pipe. Three devices for the price of one, and it actually does all three well.

Design & Build Quality
Zinc alloy body. Solid feel without being heavy. No rattling, no flex. It'll survive daily use and getting tossed in a bag.
The single button controls everything through click patterns. Takes a minute to learn, but then it's second nature. The LED ring around the button shows your voltage and battery level clearly, even in sunlight. And the glass vapor path inside means your concentrate never touches anything that could mess with the taste.
The magnetic coil cover is a bigger deal than it sounds. The original Seahorse Pro had a threaded cap that got gunked up with concentrate and became a pain to remove. Now the cover just snaps on magnetically. Small upgrade, but you'll appreciate it every time you clean or swap coils.
Improved Charging
USB-C finally. People complained about micro-USB on the original, and Lookah listened. No more fumbling with the connector in the dark. Full charge takes about an hour, way faster than the old version. Red light while charging, cyan when it's done.
Features
See-Through Quartz Tip
It comes with Lookah's SCV (See-Through Quartz) coil. The porous quartz heats evenly and the flavor is clean. You can actually watch your concentrate vaporize through the transparent tip, which is oddly satisfying.
Quartz is still the best material for concentrate heating. No added taste, handles heat well, pure flavor. The porous design gives you more surface area so vaporization is more efficient.
Variable Voltage Control
Three voltages, three different experiences:
| Voltage | LED Color | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 3.2V | Blue | Flavor-focused, gentle hits |
| 3.6V | Purple | Balanced experience |
| 4.1V | White | Maximum vapor production |
Double-click to cycle through. Low voltage keeps the terpenes intact for better flavor. High voltage means bigger clouds and stronger effects. Most people land somewhere in the middle.
Session Mode
Triple-click and the device preheats for 15 seconds, then holds your voltage for 30 seconds hands-free. The LED flashes so you know it's active.
This is great when you're using it with a water pipe. Trying to hold the button while managing a rig is awkward. Session mode lets you focus on the hit instead of the device. And you get consistent temperature instead of the on-off heating from manual button presses.
510 Battery Functionality
Take off the quartz tip and screw in a 510 cartridge. Now it's a cart battery. One less device to carry.
Works well across all three voltages. Solid connection with standard carts, and the variable voltage lets you adjust for different oil thicknesses.
Water Pipe Compatibility
The box includes a silicone hose and 14/18mm adapter. Connect to any standard water pipe or dab rig. Water filtration cools and smooths the hit.
Setup is simple. One end of the hose goes on the mouthpiece, other end to the adapter, adapter into your glass. Now you've got electric heating with proper water filtration. Best of both worlds.
Performance
Hits are consistent and flavorful at any voltage. The quartz tip heats up in seconds. Vapor production at higher settings is solid, and the glass vapor path keeps the flavor clean.
The nectar collector approach is dead simple. Heat the tip, touch it to your concentrate, inhale. No loading chambers, no scooping, minimal cleanup. Takes a few tries to get your technique down, but then it's the fastest way to dab.
Battery holds up fine for portable use. The 650mAh cell gets you 30-40 quick sessions per charge. Higher voltage drains it faster, obviously. When it dies, USB-C gets you back to full in about an hour.
Coil Compatibility
Five Lookah coil types work with the Pro Plus:
- Type I (SCI): Standard quartz tip
- Type II (SCII): Ceramic tip for different flavor profile
- Type III (SCIII): Ceramic tube design
- Type IV (SCIV): Advanced coil option
- Type V (SCV): See-through quartz (pre-installed)
Worth trying different coils to see what flavor profile you like best.
Who Is This For?
People who want portable dabs: Small enough for your pocket, powerful enough to actually work.
Budget-minded buyers: Three devices for $45. Nectar collector, cart battery, water pipe adapter. That's hard to beat.
Flavor purists: Quartz tip plus glass vapor path equals clean taste. About as good as portable gets.
Original Seahorse Pro owners: Everything you liked, minus the stuff you complained about. USB-C alone makes it worth the upgrade.
Concentrate newbies: Try different methods without buying separate devices for each one.
The Bottom Line
Lookah took the feedback on the original and fixed everything. USB-C charging. Magnetic coil cover. Better quartz tip. The upgrades aren't flashy, but they make daily use better.
The real selling point is the versatility. Nectar collector, 510 battery, water pipe adapter, all in one device that fits in your pocket. At $45, it's cheaper than buying separate gear for each method.
If you want a portable concentrate setup that actually works, this is it. The Seahorse Pro Plus has a reputation for a reason. For more options, see our best nectar collectors guide.
