Overview
Most concentrate vapes look the same. Pen shape. Black or silver. Nothing memorable. The HoneyStick Elf CannDab went a different direction entirely.

This thing actually looks like a pipe. The bowl holds your concentrates, the curved stem carries the vapor, and the whole experience feels like smoking a traditional piece. If you missed that ritual or just wanted something with personality, the CannDab delivered.
Note: HoneyStick discontinued this product. This review is for current owners looking for info about their device.
Design & Build Quality
HoneyStick nailed the pipe shape. The curves and proportions feel right. If you've held a traditional pipe, this feels familiar in your hand.
The bowl area houses the heating chamber and atomizer. The curved stem holds the airpath and battery. Pick it up and you know what to do with it. No learning curve.
Build quality is solid without being heavy. The finish holds up well against fingerprints and daily wear. The 510-threaded atomizer connects securely in the bowl.
Aesthetic Appeal
People notice this thing. It starts conversations. If you like talking about your gear, that's a plus. If you prefer to blend in, maybe not.
From across a room, the CannDab looks more like a regular pipe than a vape. Up close, the electronic bits are obvious. So it's discreet-ish.
Features
Pipe-Style Chamber
The bowl holds a ceramic concentrate atomizer. Loading is straightforward:
- Remove the mouthpiece/stem section
- Apply concentrate to the heating element
- Reassemble
- Activate and inhale
The pipe shape makes this feel natural. Drop your wax in the bowl like you're packing a pipe. Simple.
Button Activation
One button does everything:
- Five clicks: Power on/off
- Press and hold: Heat and vaporize
- LED indicator: Battery and power status
The button sits right where your thumb lands. No fumbling.
Compact Battery
Here's the trade-off. That curved stem can only fit so much battery. You get enough power for multiple sessions, but not as many as a pen-style vape would provide.
USB charging takes 1-2 hours to fill it back up.
Performance
Vapor Quality
The ceramic atomizer does its job. Clean vapor, good flavor preservation. The pipe shape doesn't change how well it vaporizes, just how it feels in your hand.
We tested it with different concentrates:
- Wax: Melted and vaporized smoothly
- Shatter: Needs a bit more heat time but works fine
- Crumble: Easy to load, efficient vaporization
Draw Experience
The curved stem changes how you inhale. Vapor travels through the stem and cools slightly before reaching your mouth. Pen vapes give you a short, direct hit. This feels more like pulling on an actual pipe.
If you've used traditional pipes, this clicks immediately. The draw resistance and airflow match what you'd expect.
Heat Management
The bowl area warms up during longer sessions. Not hot enough to bother you, but warm. The stem stays cool the whole time, so extended sessions aren't uncomfortable.
Battery Life
The small battery means more charging:
- Light users (2-4 sessions/day): Daily charging
- Moderate users (5-8 sessions/day): Twice-daily charging
- Heavy users: Multiple charges throughout the day
That's the main sacrifice for the pipe shape. If the look matters to you, you'll deal with it. If you need all-day battery, get a pen vape instead.
USB charging port is easy to access along the body.
Who Was This For?
This vape made sense for:
- Pipe lovers who wanted electronic vaping in a familiar form
- People tired of generic pens who wanted something with character
- Collectors who like unusual designs
- Folks who enjoy talking gear since this one draws questions
- Ritual-focused users who miss the pipe experience
Skip it if you need:
- Maximum battery life
- A pocket-friendly size
- An anonymous-looking vape
- The cheapest option available
The Bottom Line
The HoneyStick Elf CannDab did something different. Instead of another pen, they made a pipe that actually works like one.
Vapor quality matches other solid concentrate devices. The form factor is what sets it apart. If the pipe shape appeals to you (nostalgia, preference, or just wanting something unique), this delivered.
HoneyStick discontinued this product. If you already own one, hopefully this helps you get the most out of it. For current HoneyStick concentrate options, check out the Twist NANO Dabber, or browse our HoneyStick brand page for their full lineup.
