Overview

The Wulf Mods Grid is a budget-friendly 510 battery with four voltage settings, USB-C charging, and a compact design with built-in keyring loop. It offers essential features without complexity, making it ideal for casual cartridge users.

This manual covers setup, voltage selection, the preheat function, and troubleshooting.

Getting Started

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your Grid:

1. Connect the USB-C cable to the device
2. Connect to a standard USB power source (5V)
3. Initial charge takes approximately 2 hours
4. LED indicates charging status
5. Subsequent charges take 1 hour maximum

Important Charging Warnings:

• Do not charge with power banks over 5V
• Do not charge in your car
• Use standard USB outlets only

Attaching Your Cartridge

1. Ensure the device is powered off
2. Locate the 510 threading on top of the Grid
3. Screw your cartridge clockwise onto the threading
4. Tighten until snug—do not overtighten
5. Cartridge should sit securely without wobbling

Powering On/Off

• Turn On: Click the button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
• Turn Off: Click the button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds

The LED display will show a boot animation when powering on.

Voltage Settings

Four Preset Options

Changing Voltage

1. With device powered on, click the button 3 times rapidly
2. The LED color will change to indicate the new setting
3. Continue clicking 3 times to cycle through options
4. Stop when your desired color appears
5. The device saves your selection

Voltage Recommendations

• New cartridges: Start at Yellow (3.2V) and adjust
• Flavor priority: Use Green (2.8V)
• Vapor priority: Use Purple (3.6V) or Pink (4.0V)
• Thick oils: May need Purple or Pink to flow properly

Other LED Signals

• Flashing on power on: Device is ready
• Flashing during use: Normal operation
• Dim/no light: Battery depleted—charge needed

Preheat Function

The preheat function warms thick oils before drawing:

Activating Preheat

1. With device powered on, double-click the button
2. The device enters a 12-second preheat cycle
3. LED indicates preheat is active
4. Wait for cycle to complete
5. Draw from your cartridge

When to Use Preheat

• First use of a new cartridge
• Thick or viscous oils
• Cold weather conditions
• When first draw produces weak vapor

Using Your Grid

Taking a Draw

1. Ensure cartridge is attached and device is on
2. Select your preferred voltage (3 clicks to cycle)
3. Hold the button while inhaling
4. Release button when finished
5. Exhale

Draw Tips

• Start with medium-length draws
• The device has a 15-second automatic timeout
• Release and press again for longer sessions
• Lower voltages work better with longer, slower draws
• Higher voltages suit shorter, quicker draws

15-Second Timeout

The Grid automatically stops heating after 15 seconds:

• This is a safety feature
• Prevents overheating
• Release the button and press again to continue
• Not an error—normal operation

Charging Safety

Keyring Loop

The Grid includes a built-in keyring loop:

Using the Loop

1. Locate the loop on the device body
2. Thread your keyring or lanyard through
3. Secure to keys, bag, or belt loop
4. Remove cartridge before attaching if preferred

Maintenance

Regular Care

1. Wipe the device with a dry cloth
2. Keep the 510 connection clean
3. Check cartridge threading occasionally

Cleaning the 510 Connection

1. Remove cartridge
2. Use a dry Q-tip to clean the threading
3. Clean the center pin gently
4. Remove any oil residue
5. Allow to dry before attaching cartridge

Storage

• Store in a dry location
• Keep away from extreme temperatures
• Remove cartridge for long-term storage
• Maintain partial charge when stored

Troubleshooting

Device Won't Power On

1. Charge for at least 30 minutes
2. Click exactly 5 times within 2 seconds
3. Check USB-C port for debris
4. Try a different charging cable
5. Use a standard USB outlet (not power bank)

Cartridge Not Firing

1. Verify cartridge is properly threaded
2. Clean 510 connection and cartridge contacts
3. Ensure device is powered on
4. Increase voltage for thick oils
5. Check cartridge has oil remaining

Weak Vapor Production

1. Increase voltage (3 clicks to cycle)
2. Use preheat function (2 clicks)
3. Clean cartridge and device contacts
4. Check oil level in cartridge
5. Try a fully charged battery

LED Not Working

1. Battery may be depleted—charge device
2. Ensure rapid clicking (within 2 seconds)
3. Check if device feels warm (may be on but LED failed)
4. Try different charging source
5. Contact support if LED fails after charging

Device Overheating

1. Stop use immediately
2. Allow device to cool completely
3. Avoid chain sessions without breaks
4. Use lower voltage settings
5. Contact support if overheating persists

Charging Issues
