Getting Started
Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge your Kodo Star:
- Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port on the device
- Connect the other end to a USB power source (wall adapter or computer)
- The LED display will show charging progress
- Charge until the battery indicator shows 100% (approximately 48 minutes)
- Disconnect the cable when fully charged
Powering On/Off
- Turn On: Press the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
- Turn Off: Press the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
- The LED display will confirm power status with a visual indicator
Attaching a Cartridge
- Ensure the device is powered off for safety
- Remove any protective cap from your 510 cartridge
- Align the cartridge with the 510 connection on top of the device
- Gently screw the cartridge clockwise until finger-tight
- Do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the threads
Usage Instructions
Basic Operation
- Turn on the device (5 clicks)
- Adjust voltage to your preferred setting
- Hold the power button while inhaling from the cartridge mouthpiece
- Release the button to stop heating
- Turn off when finished (5 clicks)
Voltage Settings
The Kodo Star offers precise voltage control from 1.8V to 4.2V in 0.1V increments:

Tip: Start at lower voltages and gradually increase to find your preferred setting for each cartridge type.
Pre-heat Function
For thick or cold oils:
- Double-click the power button to activate pre-heat
- The device will gently warm for 10 seconds
- After pre-heat completes, proceed with normal use
- This improves oil flow and vapor consistency
Understanding the LED Display
The full LED display with galactic effect shows:
- Voltage: Current voltage setting (1.8V-4.2V)
- Battery: Remaining battery percentage
- Time: Active session duration
- Visual Effects: Ambient galactic animation
Care & Maintenance
Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance:
- Remove the cartridge before cleaning
- Use a dry cotton swab to clean the 510 connection
- For stubborn residue, lightly dampen the swab with isopropyl alcohol
- Never submerge the device in liquid
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth
- Allow to fully dry before use
Storage
Proper storage extends device lifespan:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Remove cartridge during extended storage
- Keep away from extreme temperatures (below 32°F or above 113°F)
- Store with approximately 50% battery charge for long-term storage
- Use a protective case to prevent scratches and damage
Battery Care
To maximize battery longevity:
- Avoid fully depleting the battery before recharging
- Don't leave charging overnight or unattended
