The Pulsar APX eRig is a portable electronic dab rig designed to deliver desktop-quality concentrate vaporization without torches or external power sources. Featuring a 3200mAh battery, coil-less quartz atomizer, and borosilicate glass water filtration, the APX eRig provides smooth, flavorful dabs anywhere.

This manual covers everything you need to know to set up, operate, and maintain your APX eRig for optimal performance and longevity.

Getting Started

Initial Assembly

  1. Attach the base jar: Connect the base jar to the main body securely
  2. Insert the downstem: Place the downstem into the base jar
  3. Connect the atomizer: Attach the coil-less quartz atomizer to the pivoting connection
  4. Add the glass coil collar: Place around the atomizer connection
  5. Attach the glass mouthpiece: Connect the glass bubbler mouthpiece to complete assembly
  6. Add the carb cap tether: Attach the silicone tether to keep the carb cap accessible

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your APX eRig:

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the base
  2. Connect the included USB-C cable
  3. Connect the other end to a USB power source (5V/2.5A recommended)
  4. LED indicators show charging status
  5. Allow 3-4 hours for complete initial charge
  6. Disconnect when fully charged

Note: Using a higher-powered USB adapter (5V/2.5A) ensures faster charging. Lower-powered sources will work but charge more slowly.

Filling the Water Chamber

  1. Remove the glass mouthpiece
  2. Pour clean, room-temperature water through the opening
  3. Fill until water level is just above the showerhead percolator holes
  4. Do not overfill - leave space for bubbling action
  5. Replace the glass mouthpiece
  6. Test by drawing through the mouthpiece (no vapor) - you should hear bubbling

Powering On/Off

  • Turn On: Click the power button 5 times rapidly (within 2 seconds)
  • Turn Off: Click the power button 5 times rapidly (within 2 seconds)
  • LED illuminates when powered on

Usage Instructions

Loading Concentrates

  1. Ensure device is powered off or idle
  2. Remove the carb cap
  3. Use the included dab tool to collect a small amount of concentrate (rice grain size to start)
  4. Place concentrate in the center of the quartz cup
  5. For enhanced vaporization, add 1-2 terp pearls using the Terp Tong
  6. Replace the carb cap loosely

Loading Tips:

  • Start with small amounts - you can always add more
  • Avoid touching the inside of the quartz cup with fingers
  • Center the concentrate for even heating
  • Don't overload - too much can cause pooling and waste

Temperature Selection Guide:

Taking a Dab

Manual Mode:

  1. Select your temperature setting
  2. Hold the power button to heat
  3. Watch for vapor to form in the cup
  4. Begin inhaling slowly through the mouthpiece
  5. Continue holding the button while drawing
  6. Release button when done
  7. Exhale and enjoy

Sesh Mode:

  1. Select your temperature setting
  2. Double-click the power button to activate Sesh Mode
  3. LED pulses and haptic feedback signals heating
  4. When ready, begin inhaling slowly
  5. Heating continues for 40 seconds automatically
  6. Use Manual Mode afterward for any remaining concentrate

Using the Carb Cap

The glass carb cap controls airflow and helps vaporize concentrate more efficiently:

  1. After heating begins and vapor forms, place the carb cap over the atomizer
  2. The restricted airflow creates more turbulence in the chamber
  3. If using terp pearls, the carb cap helps them spin
  4. Lift the cap slightly to adjust airflow as needed
  5. The silicone tether keeps the cap accessible between hits

Using Terp Pearls

Quartz terp pearls enhance vaporization:

  1. Use the Terp Tong to pick up a pearl
  2. Place 1-2 pearls in the atomizer cup before loading concentrate
  3. Load your concentrate around/over the pearls
  4. During heating, the pearls spin and distribute concentrate
  5. Remove pearls with Terp Tong when cleaning

Charging

Charging Your Device

  1. Connect USB-C cable to the device
  2. Connect to a power source (wall adapter recommended)
  3. LED indicates charging status
  4. Full charge: approximately 3-4 hours with 5V/2.5A adapter
  5. Longer with lower-powered USB ports

Battery Indicators

  • LED color/pattern indicates remaining battery during use
  • Low battery warning: Device will flash and auto-shutdown
  • Do not use while charging for best battery longevity

Care & Maintenance

After Each Session

  1. Allow atomizer to cool for 2-3 minutes
  2. While still warm (not hot), use a cotton swab to wipe the quartz cup
  3. Remove and clean terp pearls if used
  4. Empty and rinse the water chamber
  5. Wipe down exterior surfaces

Quartz Cup Cleaning

Light Cleaning (after sessions):

  1. Power off and allow cooling
  2. Dip cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol (90%+)
  3. Swab the warm quartz cup to dissolve residue
  4. Let alcohol evaporate completely before next use

Deep Cleaning (weekly or as needed):

  1. Remove atomizer from device
  2. Soak quartz cup in isopropyl alcohol for 15-30 minutes
  3. Use cotton swabs to remove stubborn residue
  4. Rinse with warm water
  5. Allow to dry completely before reassembly

Glass Component Cleaning

Water Chamber/Mouthpiece:

  1. Empty water after each session
  2. Rinse with warm water
  3. For deeper cleaning, use isopropyl alcohol
  4. Use pipe cleaners for airpath passages
  5. Rinse thoroughly to remove all alcohol
  6. Air dry completely

Troubleshooting
