Design & Build Quality
Classic stick battery look here. Slim, light at 85g, and fits in your pocket without making a weird bulge.
HoneyStick has four color options: Black, Orange, Purple/Green, and Yellow/Purple. The dual-tone ones are kind of fun if you want something that stands out. The finish held up during our week of testing, though the included metal carrying case helps if you're worried about scratches.
One button runs everything. LED lights around the button show your voltage setting and battery level. Simple.
Features
Variable Voltage Control
You get three voltage options:
- 2.8V (Blue) - Best for flavor with thinner oils
- 3.3V (Green) - Works well with most cartridges
- 4.0V (Red) - Big clouds with thicker concentrates
Three clicks cycle through the settings. The LED color tells you which one you're on.
Preheat Function
Two quick clicks starts a 10-second preheat. Helpful when your oil is thick or it's cold outside and everything has settled. One click cancels it if you're ready to go before it finishes.
USB-C Charging
Most budget batteries still use micro-USB, so USB-C is a nice touch. Charges faster, and the reversible plug is less annoying. You'll need to supply your own cable though.
Performance
We ran this through 5 different cartridges over a week. Here's what we found:
At 2.8V, draws were smooth with good flavor and not much throat hit. Great for terpene-heavy oils.
The 3.3V setting hit the sweet spot for most carts. Solid balance of flavor and vapor without being too much.
4.0V cranked up the vapor. Works best with thick concentrates. Thinner oils can burn if you take long draws, so watch it.
The preheat function did its job. Cold mornings made a noticeable difference when oils got thick.
Battery Life
Here's the trade-off for that $11 price: 230mAh isn't huge. If you're taking 10 to 20 puffs a day, expect 1 to 2 days between charges. Heavy users will charge daily.
The LED blinks when it's running low. Not as precise as a percentage display, but it works.
Full charge takes 45 to 60 minutes with USB-C.
Who Should Buy This?

Skip it if you:
- Need all-day battery life

The Bottom Line
The HoneyStick Elf THC 510 Stick Battery gives you variable voltage, USB-C, preheat, and a carrying case for $11. That's less than lunch.
Yeah, the battery is small and there's no cable in the box. But for the price? Hard to complain.
If you want a reliable 510 battery that works and costs almost nothing, this is the one.
