Overview

The Yocan UNI 3.0 is an adjustable 510-threaded box mod designed for use with oil cartridges. It features variable voltage control from 1.8V to 4.2V, a digital display with animated backgrounds, and an adjustable cartridge chamber that accommodates virtually any 510 cartridge size.

This manual covers everything you need to know to set up, use, and maintain your UNI 3.0.

Getting Started

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your UNI 3.0:

1. Connect the included USB-C cable to the charging port on the device
2. Connect the other end to a USB power source (wall adapter, computer, or power bank)
3. The display will show the charging indicator and battery level
4. Charge until the battery indicator shows full (approximately 1-2 hours)
5. Disconnect when charging is complete

Powering On/Off

• Turn On: Press the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
• Turn Off: Press the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
• The display will illuminate when the device is on
• The device will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity

Installing a Cartridge

1. Adjust Width: Turn the dial on the bottom of the device to widen the cartridge chamber opening
2. Insert Cartridge: Drop your 510 cartridge into the chamber
3. Secure Width: Turn the dial to snugly hold the cartridge (don't overtighten)
4. Adjust Height: Slide the cartridge up or down to your preferred position
5. Check Connection: The display should show the cartridge resistance (ohms)

Display Information

The digital display provides real-time information:

Changing Display Background

1. With the device powered on
2. Press the + and - buttons simultaneously
3. The background will cycle through available themes
4. Release when your preferred theme is displayed

Usage Instructions

Basic Operation

1. Ensure device is powered on (display illuminated)
2. Verify cartridge is properly installed and shows resistance reading
3. Adjust voltage to desired setting using +/- buttons
4. Hold the power button to heat the cartridge
5. Inhale slowly and steadily through the cartridge mouthpiece
6. Release the power button when finished
7. Exhale

Adjusting Voltage

The UNI 3.0 offers precise voltage control:

• Press + button to increase voltage
• Press - button to decrease voltage
• Voltage adjusts in small increments for precision
• Current voltage displays on screen in real-time

Voltage Guide

Tips for Best Results

For Flavor:

• Start at lower voltages (2.0V - 2.4V)
• Take slow, steady draws
• Allow brief pauses between puffs

For Vapor Production:

• Use higher voltages (3.0V - 3.6V)
• Take longer draws
• Ensure cartridge is designed for higher power

For Thick Oils:

• Higher voltage helps with viscous concentrates
• Allow cartridge to warm for a few seconds before drawing
• Use preheat if oil is very thick (quick double-press)

Preheat Function

For thick oils that need warming:

1. Quickly press the power button twice
2. The device will warm the cartridge at low power for 10-15 seconds
3. This helps liquefy thick concentrates for better wicking
4. Take your draw after preheat completes

Adjustable Cartridge Chamber

Width Adjustment

The dial on the bottom of the device controls chamber width:

1. Turn Counter-Clockwise: Opens/widens the chamber
2. Turn Clockwise: Closes/narrows the chamber
3. Adjust until cartridge fits snugly but not too tight
4. Cartridge should not wobble but should not be crushed

Height Adjustment

The cartridge can slide up and down within the chamber:

• Fully Concealed: Push cartridge down for maximum discretion
• Partially Exposed: Raise cartridge for easier mouthpiece access
• Adjust for Fit: Different cartridge heights may require adjustment

Compatible Cartridge Sizes

The adjustable chamber accommodates:

• Standard diameter cartridges (9mm - 12mm)
• Wide diameter cartridges (12mm - 14mm+)
• Short cartridges (under 50mm)
• Tall cartridges (50mm+)
• Virtually all 510-threaded cartridges on the market

Charging Instructions

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning the 510 Connection

1. Power off the device
2. Remove the cartridge
3. Use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol
4. Gently clean the 510 threading and contact pin
5. Allow to dry completely before use

Cleaning the Cartridge Chamber

1. Remove cartridge
2. Use a dry cotton swab or soft cloth
3. Wipe interior of chamber
4. Remove any oil residue or debris
5. Do not use excessive liquid inside the device

Exterior Cleaning

1. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth
2. Wipe exterior surfaces
3. Dry immediately
4. Avoid getting moisture in ports or openings

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place
• Keep away from direct sunlight
• Remove cartridge for long-term storage
• Store at 50% battery charge if not using for extended periods
• Use the built-in hanging hole with a lanyard for secure carry

Troubleshooting

Device Won't Turn On

1. Charge the battery - Connect USB-C and charge fully
2. Check button press - 5 rapid clicks within 2 seconds
3. Try different cable - USB-C cable may be faulty
4. Try different power source - Ensure adequate power delivery

No Vapor Production

1. Check cartridge connection - Remove and reinstall cartridge
2. Verify oil level - Cartridge may be empty
3. Increase voltage - Some cartridges need higher power
4. Clean 510 connection - Residue may block contact
5. Check resistance reading - If no ohms shown, cartridge may be faulty

Cartridge Won't Fit

1. Widen chamber - Turn bottom dial counter-clockwise
2. Check threading - Ensure cartridge is 510-threaded
3. Inspect cartridge - Some proprietary cartridges aren't 510

Display Issues

1. Charge device - Low battery may affect display
2. Power cycle - Turn off and on again
3. Clean contacts - Ensure clean connections

Inconsistent Vapor

1. Check oil level - Low oil causes weak hits
2. Adjust voltage - Find optimal setting for your cartridge
3. Allow wicking - Pause between draws for oil to saturate wick
