Overview

The Yocan Orbit is a portable concentrate vaporizer featuring spinning terp pearl technology. Unlike traditional coil-based wax pens, the Orbit uses a quartz cup atomizer with spinning quartz balls that distribute heat evenly across your concentrate for improved flavor and efficiency.

Getting Started

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your Yocan Orbit:

1. Locate the USB-C port on the bottom of the device
2. Connect the included USB-C cable to the device
3. Connect the other end to a USB power source (wall adapter or computer)
4. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging
5. Allow approximately 2.5 hours for a complete charge
6. LED will change or turn off when fully charged

Important: Use the included cable or a quality USB-C cable. Avoid fast-charging adapters rated above 5V/2A.

Powering On/Off

• Turn On: Click the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
• Turn Off: Click the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds

The LED will flash to confirm power on/off.

Checking the Terp Pearls

Before first use, verify the terp pearls are in place:

1. Remove the glass mouthpiece by unscrewing it
2. Look inside the quartz cup—you should see two small quartz balls
3. If pearls are missing, add them from the spare set included in your kit
4. Replace the mouthpiece securely

Loading Concentrate

Step-by-Step Loading

1. Power on the device (5 clicks)
2. Remove the mouthpiece by unscrewing it counter-clockwise
3. Use the pick tool to place a small amount of concentrate into the quartz cup
4. Start small—a rice-grain sized amount is sufficient
5. Replace the mouthpiece by screwing it back on securely
6. Do not overload—excess concentrate can overflow and clog airflow holes

Loading Tips

• Room temperature concentrates are easier to handle than cold material
• If concentrate is sticky, briefly heat the pick tool tip with the device's preheat function
• Avoid touching the terp pearls with the pick tool—they can crack if struck
• Place concentrate in the center of the cup, not on the sides

Usage Instructions

Basic Operation

1. Power on the device (5 clicks)
2. Load concentrate into the quartz cup
3. Select voltage (2 clicks to cycle through settings)
4. Optional: Preheat (double-click for 10-second warm-up)
5. Press and hold the power button while inhaling slowly
6. Draw steadily—slow, consistent airflow makes the terp pearls spin
7. Release the button and continue inhaling briefly to clear vapor
8. Exhale and enjoy

The device has a 10-second automatic cutoff for safety. For longer draws, release and press again.

Voltage Settings

The Orbit offers three voltage settings. Click the button 2 times to cycle through them:

Preheat Function

The preheat function gently warms the quartz cup for 10 seconds:

1. With the device powered on, double-click the power button
2. The LED will pulse indicating preheat is active
3. After 10 seconds, preheat completes automatically
4. Take your draw immediately for best results

When to use preheat:

• First draw with fresh concentrate
• Thick or viscous concentrates (shatter, diamonds)
• Cold weather conditions
• After the device has been sitting unused

Understanding Terp Pearl Function

The terp pearls spin during your draw due to airflow entering through intake holes:

• Slow, steady draws create the airflow needed for spinning
• Fast, hard draws may not allow pearls to spin properly
• You may hear a slight rattling—this is normal and indicates the pearls are moving
• If pearls stop spinning, check for residue buildup or blocked airflow

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures optimal flavor and device longevity.

Cleaning the Quartz Cup

After each session:

1. While the cup is still warm, pulse the button to burn off residue
2. Use the pick tool to remove any remaining material
3. A quick wipe with a dry cotton swab removes loose residue

Weekly deep clean:

1. Remove the mouthpiece and atomizer from the battery
2. Remove the terp pearls using the pick tool
3. Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol (90%+ recommended)
4. Swab the inside of the quartz cup thoroughly
5. Allow to dry completely before reassembly

Cleaning the Terp Pearls

Clean terp pearls are essential for proper spinning and flavor:

1. Remove pearls from the quartz cup carefully
2. Place pearls in a small container with isopropyl alcohol
3. Soak for 10-15 minutes
4. Swirl gently to remove residue
5. Remove and wipe with a lint-free cloth
6. Allow to dry completely before reinserting
7. Inspect for cracks—replace damaged pearls with spares

Cleaning the Mouthpiece

Troubleshooting

Device Won't Power On

1. Ensure battery has charge—connect to USB-C charger
2. Click exactly 5 times within 2 seconds
3. Check that USB-C port is clean and undamaged
4. Try a different charging cable or power source
5. Charge for at least 30 minutes before retrying

No Vapor Production

1. Verify concentrate is loaded in the quartz cup

Device Overheating

Coil/Atomizer Replacement
