Getting Started

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your Compass Rise:

1. Connect the included USB-C cable to the charging port
2. Connect the other end to a USB power source (5V recommended)
3. LEDs will indicate charging progress
4. Full charge takes approximately 1-2 hours
5. LEDs will turn solid when fully charged

Installing a Cartridge

The Compass Rise features a protective drop-in design:

1. Ensure device is powered off
2. Drop your 510 cartridge into the chamber (11.5mm max diameter)
3. Cartridge should sit securely in the chamber
4. Use the swivel mechanism to align the mouthpiece for comfortable draws

Note: The Compass Rise is optimized for 1g cartridges. Cartridges larger than 11.5mm diameter will not fit properly.

Powering On/Off

• Power On: Click the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
• Power Off: Click the power button 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds
• LEDs will flash to confirm power state change

Voltage Settings

The Compass Rise offers five voltage levels for precise control over your experience:

Changing Voltage

1. Ensure device is powered on
2. Click the power button 3 times rapidly
3. LEDs will indicate the new voltage level
4. Continue clicking 3 times to cycle through all five settings

Voltage Memory

The Compass Rise remembers your last-used voltage setting. When you power the device back on, it will return to your preferred setting automatically.

Pre-Heat Function

For thick oils or cold cartridges, use the pre-heat function:

1. Ensure device is powered on
2. Double-click the power button quickly
3. LEDs will pulse to indicate pre-heat is active
4. Pre-heat gently warms the oil for smoother draws
5. After pre-heat completes, draw normally

Pre-heat is especially useful for:

• Live resin or rosin cartridges
• Thick distillates
• Cartridges that have been in cold environments
• First draw of the day

Usage Instructions

Basic Operation

1. Power on the device (5 clicks)
2. Select voltage (3 clicks to cycle)
3. Pre-heat if needed (double-click)
4. Draw: Press and hold the power button while inhaling
5. Release the button when finished

LED Battery Indicator

The three LEDs indicate remaining battery life:

• 3 LEDs: 70-100% charge
• 2 LEDs: 30-70% charge
• 1 LED: 10-30% charge
• 1 LED flashing: Below 10%, charge immediately

Standing Upright

The Compass Rise can stand upright independently. This is recommended when not in use to:

• Prevent oil leakage
• Keep cartridge in optimal position
• Display device prominently

1. Connect USB-C cable to device
2. Connect to USB power source (5V)
3. LEDs indicate charging progress
4. Full charge: approximately 1-2 hours

Charging Tips

• Use the included cable or a quality USB-C cable
• Avoid charging from high-amperage chargers (standard 5V/1A is ideal)
• Do not leave on charger for extended periods after full charge
• Store with 50% charge if not using for extended periods

Cleaning the Connection

1. Power off the device
2. Remove the cartridge
3. Use a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol
4. Gently clean the 510 threading and connection points
5. Allow to dry completely before use

Exterior Care

• Wipe with a soft, dry cloth
• Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives on the metal finish
• Store in a protective case when traveling

Storage

• Store upright when possible
• Keep in a cool, dry place
• Avoid extreme temperatures
