San Francisco Bay Area to push a ban on flavoured E-Liquids.
An attempted ban of flavoured e-liquid is currently being fought by the vape community in the San Francisco Bay Area. A passage of law has launched the attack on flavoured liquids, defining e-cigarettes and liquid that contains nicotine as “tobacco products”.
The Bay Area is a hub of bigotry towards the industry, making it one of the most affected states in the nation by the prohibitionist tobacco control ideology. The vaping community is currently fighting an onslaught of attacks, like the proposed flavour bans which, if imposed, will make sales of flavoured e-liquid illegal.
Health groups like the American Lung Association, the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and the American Cancer Society have leant their support towards the proponents of the ban but thousands of passionate people who have had their lives drastically improved by using flavoured liquid as a cessation method can have their say and speak out against the threat. Not Blowing Smoke have created a website called AdultsLikeFlavors.org which collects information about proposed bans and distributes as many pointers as possible for vapers to get involved with local hearings, and respond to calls to action. Stefan Didak from Not Blowing Smoke is working hard to galvanize a solid foundation to oppose the propositions.
